With great aspirations to post about any number of other things this weeks, I am writing about ants. Why? Because we were joined in out kitchen by approximately one million of them today. Oh yes, the ants go marching one by one…and two by two…and four hundred by four hundred. Oh, what to do about [...] This past week I had the chance to speak with some writers from my grad school alumni magazine. They were asking honest questions about why a graduate in technical theater would move to Las Vegas and they eventually got to the question everyone from out of town asks…the one that makes you think the questioner [...] The last few posts have been very parenting centered – strollers, diapers, childbirth… Well, here is something for anyone who enjoys hot water – and isn’t that everyone? Our house was built in 1999, ancient in the newly developed Las Vegas South suburbs. Overall, houses in Vegas aren’t made to be heirlooms…quick and dirty construction, [...] A few weeks before Gabriel arrived I was lamenting to my mom that I had fallen into an unfortunate habit of letting Dante come home from day care and watch TV while I got dinner ready…about an hour or an hour and a half. And she said that, yes, with another one in the house [...] If you have been reading along, you know that my precious Pumpkin is a bit behind on language development. To be specific, according to our evaluation a few months ago, he is 27% behind. Whatever the percentage…about three weeks ago he decided it was time to talk.
